has anyone heard of a link between pancreatic cancer and dementia? | |

From: Mary
my family lived it. there is more information out on the web. the pancreas produces important neurohormones as well as enzymes to digest fats which are necessary in brain functioning. my husband survived pancreatic cancer seven years post diagnosis. he was in a state of delirium when he started treatments. he had dementia forever after that. i have read that the cancer can cause permanent brain damage if not treated soon enough. also the chemo drugs are the most toxic drugs out there. i am sure they had effect on him and played a part in his dementia which from what i have determined, was particularly bad in his frontal lobes.
